SHINE A LIGHT FOR ALL THEY DO
Doctors’ Day occurs every year on May 1 to highlight and celebrate doctors’ expertise and dedication to patient care. With this year’s Doctors’ Day falling in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the OMA is organizing a special moment so Ontarians can come together from a distance, and participate in celebrating doctors.
On May 1st at 9:00 p.m., we’re asking Ontarians to Shine A Light For All They Do.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Through your window, on your balcony, on your front porch, or wherever you are, turn on your phone’s flashlight and hold it high.
- Shine your light to show your appreciation for Ontario's doctors.
- Post to your social media channels, and tell us why you’re shining your light for doctors using #DoctorsDay and #ShineALightForThem
Tell us why you’re shining your light for doctors on May 1.
Say thank you for putting themselves second, to put patients first.
Thank you for leaving their families to help care for others.
Thank you for coming in today, so many patients can have a tomorrow.
Thank you for showing courage in the face of so much fear, so patients can find theirs.
Thank you for working long shifts again… and again…
And thank you for being there when families can’t.
